Man, I never thought I'd make it to DW, but hey, here I am.

Let's see...I love Terry Pratchett, Tv Tropes, and cheesy arena rock. That's not nearly all of it, but I feel it's a good start so far.

I'm always up for a good conversation, so feel free to drop by and say hi!

Why is it that when important historical events are viewed through the lens of the internet and liberally flavoured with TVTropes, they become hilarious?

For instance, when looking at the split between the Roman Catholic church and the Orthodox church of the Byzantine Empire, it's much, much funnier to picture it as a flame war that grew out of hand on the forums and led to mutual bannination, followed by epic flouncing to separate sites, where the wankstorm continues to this day.

I think I'll be giggling about this all week.

Howard Stark: even more proof that no matter what kind of a movie they're in, members of the Stark family will always be the best thing about it. Seriously. "Write that down!" Awesome.

Need fic nao, plz.

Damn good movie, though. Evans was an outstanding Cap, I love that they kept him a genuinely good man, and I look forward to the UST between him and Tony. Because it will be there. Also they'd better address the issue of Peggy, because damn if that ending didn't hit me pretty hard, even though I knew exactly what was going to happen to that plane.

Hot Damn.

Six years, [livejournal.com profile] fangses. Dang, that's manly.

Um. Anyway, wow! Not only did I not have anything prepared, I was off on the actual date by two days. Fail.

At any rate, there is the promise of explosions and awesomeness in four years, and we've come out of today with a Tangled/DAO crossover. Things are looking up!

...Wait, what?

At any rate, I don't know why the internet has decided that it loves rainbows, unicorns, cats, and any combination of the above, plus a whole lot of fabulosity.

But I do know that I love every second of the rainbow unicorns, the nyan cat farting rainbows and ...however you class the He-Man AMV, fabulously glorious video that it is.

Oh my god, Garrus has the biggest mancrush on Thane ever, it's hilarious.

"Oh wow, a precise headshot with no collateral damage. This guy's good!"

And then when he sees him take out Nassana, you can practically hear his little turian heart fluttering in joy. His eyes even got all big and sparkly.

Also, Insanity is getting easier! Except for the goddamned krogan, christ.
tehluggage: (AT-AT headdesk)
I can has cake! Also a west trip. Two things that, while each individually kind of awesome, don't really taste great together.

Also, having Cave Johnson's lemon rant running through my head is hilarious, it's just that I keep giggling at random times and getting strange looks.
tehluggage: (AT-AT headdesk)
Er. Anyway, gone west, so huzzah, wave the tiny flags, etc.

Been gardening, which I actually do enjoy, when it's a teeny flower garden and not the monstrosity of a vegetable garden we usually have. Need to do more, though, when I get back.

Also, ME2 on Insanity takes so damn looooong, oh my god. A relatively simple fight against a Blue Suns Captain, on the way to rescue Oriana? Something like two hours, spent loading and reloading and reloading. On the other hand, she's most definitely dead, so go Garrus and Miranda.
tehluggage: (AT-AT headdesk)
Haven't been west in a while, so that's nice. Not the train I was expecting, but one I wanted, which is even better.

And then ME2 once I get back, because Portal 2 is beaten and I am not going back to the original Aperture Science labs for a long, long time. Even if PotaDOS was down there, it's still too damn creepy.

HA

SUCK IT HORIZON.

ON INSANITY NO LESS.

HA.

aaaaugh Kaidaaaaaaan

Admiral Hackett is just as awesome in person as he is giving faceless orders over the comm, and I kind of want him and Anderson to team up and go be awesome together.

On the other hand, Kire's a little worn-down after this mission, because not only did she get banged around kind of a lot, No Endor Holocaust was thoroughly, horrifically averted, and all at her hands. A necessary evil, to be sure, but still kind of ouchy.

All in all, an excellent bit of DLC! Once I got over Damn You Muscle Memory, anyway. I kept trying to pause gameplay by holding down the triggers, which works great for DA2! Not so much for ME2.

Gonna go see Thor with the fam, so yay!

Mmm, Captain Kirk's dad, and mmm, Natalie Portman. Woe, on the other hand, to the glaring absence of BRIAN BLESSED as Odin. That would have made the movie pretty much perfect, but as Nanny would say, cest lavvie.

Going north, which is still a hell of a lot better than a yard shift, and I have a good engineer, so yay!

HA

First few paragraphs of the Arishok fight-fic written, finally!

I will write this thing.

Ugh.

Gone north, so automatic yuck, but on the other hand, much, much better than the west trip I was lined up for otherwise.

I just hope I'll find some writing time....

Fnargle.

Bedtime for me, but the plot bunnies won't leave me aloooone. *dramatic sobs*

This is all your fault, [livejournal.com profile] fangses! And completely, one hundred percent unprovoked, too!

I can see the pr0n bunnies milling over in the corner, and they're starting to worry me.
tehluggage: (AT-AT headdesk)
Which is to say, yay switcher because I'm the brakeman and not the boss, it looks to be a good crew, and I'll be home by five-ish!

...All the better to write the Fenris-ribbon bit that might just correspond to the stuff I wrote last night, goddamn it. The mental images, they are very hot and will not get out of my freaking head.
tehluggage: (miguel's music)
West this time, which is okay! Good train, good hoghead, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fangses, more plot bunnies than I know what to do with.

Seriously, the one about the Arishok fight from Rob's POV will not leave me alone. Damn you, and all that.

Anyway, here's hoping I'm back at a decent hour tomorrow. That would be lovely. Fingers are crossed for a 24 hour trip!
tehluggage: (fenris is cool bro)
Field: not actually conducive to me sleeping, especially when plot bunnies like this one latch on.

Dragons suck. )

Ick.

North. Why did it have to be north.

Ugh, here's hoping it'll at least be a quick trip, maybe with a taxi waiting at Red Deer.

see icon for the odds of that happening...
