It maybe might possibly be movie time!
Aug. 7th, 2010 11:46 amGonna try and go see Inception in...oh, about an hour or so. Because of
fangses, of course. ...Is anyone really surprised? Thank goodness for the theatre here in town, and not being on call until 1800.
Most days, anyway. Called yest- uh, Thursday, I think. ...Good lord. Anyway, called at 1600 for 1800. Granted, I was first out, but wow, they must have been desperate. Good trip, though! Nearly hit a grizzly outside of Lake Louise. He was a big bear.

Midnight postings: the best kind!
May. 15th, 2010 01:09 amAlso known as, one of these days, I'll learn. (Hah!)
Anyway. Iron Man 2 was made of awesome and win, and boy do I ever need to go see it again. It also reinforced my vague 'shipping of Tony/Pepper from the first movie liek whoa, so of course I had to reconcile that with my Tony/Cap OTP from the comicsverse. That was easily enough done, though, thanks to Marvel and their delightfully lax attitude towards multiverses. So from this day forward, it's Tony/Cap, with a possibility of Tony/Pepper/Cap OT3, (Pepper tops, of course), for the comics, and Tony/Pepper for the movies. Which is quite satisfying and is in no way a copout. Nope. Not at all.
The Dresden Files series continues to be ridiculously awesome, which can also be interpreted as oh gods my wallet whyyyy. (Also I'd totally get a dog if I could get one like Mouse. They're smart! And can think! Unlike mine!) And I've done the same damn thing that happens to me with just about every other series/WIP these days: I found it and was hooked before it was finished. Man, I hate waiting for new books/hardcovers/new chapters to come out in paperback/updates. So impatient. It's a character flaw or something.
On the to-do list: stop with the comma and parenthesis abuse, it's not funny and it makes my writing look even more like the disjointed ramblings of a sleep-deprived fanthing. Which...okay, yeah, it's accurate. But that's not the point! (Though I'm pretty sure the ellipses - ellipsesissies? who cares - are going to revolt one of these days.)
Also, I have a new list: Authors That I Found Out Were Crazy Via Fandom Wank. This list is longer than you might think. Ms. Gabaldon, I am very disappointed. Ms. Rice, I'm...really not surprised, the batshit was showing by Queen of the Damned, and Mr. Goodkind, get over yourself already, nobody cares anymore. Though we do appreciate the Chicken of Doom, that'll be funny for years to come.
Incidentally, we are awesome, but then, that's nothing new.
